Values Disclaimer

Last updated: September 7, 2026 · Part of our Terms of Service.

What our numbers are

Every value in ComiXComps is one of exactly three things, and each is labeled: verified (a point value backed by linked, receipt-level comparable sales), modeled (a low / point / high range computed from recent public sales records, always shown with a confidence score from 1 to 5 and an as-of date), or not valued yet (we say so plainly rather than guessing). Comparable-sale records come from public auction results, community reports we have corroborated, and users’ own logged sales — each with its source attached.

What our numbers are not

They are not appraisals, offers, guarantees of resale price, or financial, investment, insurance, or tax advice. Comic prices are volatile and thin — an identical book can sell for materially different amounts in the same week at different venues. A modeled value at low confidence means exactly what it says: little data. “Net if sold” figures use published venue fee schedules that change without notice and ignore shipping, taxes, and grading costs unless stated.

What you should do with them

Treat them as a well-organized starting point — the same math a careful collector would do with the same public records, done consistently and with its homework shown. Verify independently before any significant purchase, sale, or insurance decision. Decisions are yours; ComiXComps and 8typical accept no liability for outcomes of decisions made using the Service, as set out in the Terms of Service.
